Photography & Videography Policy
We welcome guests to capture and share their experience at the Museum of Christian & Gospel Music (C&G). To ensure the safety of our collections, respect for artists’ rights, and an enjoyable visit for all, please review our guidelines below.
Personal Photography
- Still photography and short video clips are permitted in most areas of the Museum for personal, non-commercial use.
- We encourage you to share your photos and tag us: @CGMMuseum.
Allowed Equipment
- Smartphones
- Small, handheld cameras
Prohibited Equipment
- Flash photography
- Tripods, monopods, selfie sticks, or camera extensions
- Professional lighting, dollies, stabilizers, or other production equipment
- Lavalier or boom microphones and wireless audio equipment
Restrictions
- No commercial or professional photo/video shoots without prior written approval.
- No livestreaming from inside the Museum.
- No filming of guided tours, performances, or restricted exhibitions (signage will be posted when photography is not permitted due to lender or artist agreements).
- Do not photograph or film Museum staff or other visitors without their permission.
Special Photography Sessions
- Private event, bridal, or promotional photography must be arranged in advance through Museum staff. Fees and restrictions may apply.
- A Museum representative must be present during all scheduled professional sessions.
- Sessions must not interfere with daily operations or obstruct guest access.
Enforcement
The Museum reserves the right to deny or revoke permission for photography or filming at any time if these guidelines are not followed.

- Flash photography
- Tripods, selfie sticks, monopods, or stabilizers
- Professional lights, microphones, or filming setups
- Livestreaming inside the Museum
- Photos/videos of staff or other visitors without their permission
Look for signs – Some exhibits or performances may not allow photography due to artist or lender restrictions.
Special photo sessions (weddings, events, professional shoots) must be booked in advance with Museum staff.
